Many of you wander down Pakington St walking the dog or taking the children to school.
Sometimes you might have nearly tripped over the sandwich board outside steampocket promoting a “special” of take home family lasagna.
At $30 a tray, a family on a tight budget might have second thoughts about buying “take home” without making sure it tastes great. One of our regulars recently tried one and shared a photograph of the plate (and a quick salad they found from ingredients in their the fridge)
Taste: Brilliant, quality ingredients, lots of layers of pasta, yummy meat sauce, very tomatoey
Size: It would feed at least eight big eaters or a group of ten ‘normal people”. We had it for dinner, took it to work for lunch and froze a couple of portions for later.
Cooking time: In the oven at 180c for about one hour. The top was nice and crunchy and the filling hot all the way through.
Summary: Tasty, filling and delicious meal with large portions. Perfect for a family gathering or to serve when entertaining a large group of friends.
Oh, and is it to die for?
Well, life is too fantastic to die over a serve of lasagna but it comes close 😉
